Digital Literacy to Support Community Reading Efforts

Youth have a high interest in the low-cost ICT increasingly available in their schools and communities as well as ICT training and entrepreneurship opportunities. How can this interest and resultant digital literacy skill sets be applied to accelerate community-level early grade reading efforts to reach the 250 million young learners around the world who cannot read?

PlLearning-together---childrena-and-caregiversease share ideas or links to resources for training material integration and/or integrated lesson plan ideas that link digital literacy skills development to strengthening community literacy efforts.

The anticipated goal of the ideas and resources submitted here, together with the outcomes from the All Children Reading and Intel® Learn Program ideation workshop held September 8, 2015, is the development of an ICT for Literacy tool-kit for entrepreneurship and targeted services training to support literacy efforts.
