Accessible Kenyan Sign Language Video Storybooks
Studio KSL is an eKitabu innovation that aims to develop early-grade reading materials in Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) to help deaf or hard-of-hearing children build communication and language skills and become literate. Since 2017, eKitabu has delivered over 337 sign language videos and story books in 7 African sign languages. The stories we have developed in Studio KSL have reached over 12M learners to date according to independent reporting by GeoPoll. The content created by Studio KSL is designed to support language acquisition and build communication skills, laying the foundation for literacy.
