2023 mEducation Alliance Symposium

This year's annual symposium--which features ACR's final EdTech Expo showcasing solutions to increase literacy--focuses on how STEM education is and can reach the next generation of learners

2023 mEducation Alliance Symposium

All Children Reading is proud to be a sponsor of the 13th annual mEducation Alliance Symposium, taking place at Mason Square in Arlington, Virginia. The annual symposia will focus on how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education is and can reach the next generation of learners in all settings – including space ships! This is the first global STEM education event bringing together stakeholders from developed and developing countries. As the largest global convenor of development and donor agencies investing in EdTech in developing countries, the mEducation Alliance is known for its highly participatory events.

The annual symposia attracts representatives from Alliance member institutions along with other donors, government policymakers, practitioners, investors, nonprofit and private organizations and researchers. This year’s event will gather thought-leaders from both developed and developing countries to network and share experiences about appropriate and sustainable educational (tech and non-tech) STEM interventions. The event will feature an impressive line-up of global presenters highlighting impactful STEM projects, particularly those found in and which can be replicated and/or scaled in low-resource, formal and informal educational settings at the primary/elementary and secondary/high school instructional levels.

ACR EdTech Expo

The symposia will also include the final ACR EdTech Expo, showcasing ACR GCD-funded EdTech solutions, research, resources and lessons that supports education officers, implementers, policymakers and other stakeholders in their understanding and use of EdTech to advance equitable and inclusive early grade reading efforts. The Grand Challenge is concluding its 12-year initiative to advance EdTech to increase literacy for children in low-resource contexts in September. At the Expo, participants will:

  • learn how EdTech can help attain your aspirations for inclusive education, incorporating Universal Design for Learning, and reaching children with disabilities.
  • discover solutions to support pre-primary teachers and caregivers.
  • find out how others successfully scaled or integrated EdTech in education programing.
  • hear the future goals and vision of the ACR GCD founders: USAID, World Vision and the Australian Government.
  • join demos of EdTech for education in emergencies and children with disabilities, learning and gaming apps, book creation software and digital libraries.
  • enhance your skills in workshops to create sign language storybooks, accessible reading assessments, and accessible books.
  • find out what we learned about EdTech for literacy–what worked and what didn’t.

To attend the Expo, you must complete a seperate registration. Register and learn more.
