The Challenge

There are a great number of teaching days lost and there is a lack of focus on important learning skills resulting in children who cannot read.

The Big Idea

This method of Combined Activities for Maximized Learning (CAMaL) combines doing, speaking, reading, and writing around each learning activity for better learning, comprehension, and retention. This pedagogical approach combines Learning to Read and Reading to Learn by hosting intensive monthly "learning camps" at schools and in communities throughout the school year and summer months.
