All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development (ACR GCD) and Benetech are collaborating to launch a working group focused on the use educational technology to promote inclusive education globally. The Inclusive Education Working Group will address gaps in identifying and sharing best practices around how EdTech can be used to create and support inclusive and accessible education solutions and programs for students with disabilities globally. The members of this group include a combination of service providers, NGOs, funders, researchers and technology companies from developing countries.
“In the spirit of being inclusive, we want to ensure that many types of organizations are part of our working group,” said representatives of ACR GCD and Benetech. “This is especially true for smaller organizations who are providing direct services to underserved students worldwide.”
Organizations interested in becoming official members of the group are invited to attend a virtual meeting on Thursday, July 20, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET. Email Benetech Training and Learning Manager Vanessa Lombardo to attend and for more information.
The Grand Challenge is concluding 12 years of funding and testing innovative EdTech solutions and approaches to increase reading outcomes for marginalized children in low-resource contexts
